The children's choir is open to all children of the church up through Grade 6. They meet on Saturday morning for practice. They sing for church services as well as presenting the children's Christmas program. Pam Burns is the director.

Children's church is designed as a mini-church service, a transition from the nursery to a full church service, for children age 4 through Grade 4. The children (our future church) are encouraged to participate and try out leadership roles as they sing songs, read scripture, collect an offering, and say prayers, followed by an adult-led story or talk. Children are emcouraged to bring their Bibles, a small offering, and a worshipful attitude. Julie Myers and Eileen Rummell serve as the adult leaders.

Bible Memory Course

The Mt. Pleasant Memory Course has been set up by the Christian Education Board to encourage children to hid God's Word in their hearts. There are 8 selection per level, except for the Senior High which only has 6. This allows a student to complete the course by learning one of the selections each quarter. It is recommended that a student learns first the selections for his/her age group and then, if desired, learn selections from either a lower or higher level.

Ribbons are awarded for each item and children have the opportunity to select an item from a treasure chest. The children are also recognized at the end of the quarter for their memorization.

The chosen selections are listed on our Memory Course page.

VBS - Summer Outreach

Each summer, usually in July, the church conducts a vacation Bible school for the children of the church and the neighborhood.
